MMS dentist list or a ranked list of referring offices
MMS sells a national dentist mailing and email list you can filter by specialty and geography. It suits broad mail, email and phone campaigns. A specialist looking for referrals needs something narrower: the general dentists near them who send their procedures out, ranked, with the owner and office manager. That is what a Leadaura run builds, paid per run.
What the MMS dentist list is
MMS (Medical Marketing Service) says it "provides industry-best data, innovation and expertise to help healthcare marketers succeed" (MMS). Its dentist page is headlined "Dentist Mailing List and Email List" and describes "More than 216,000 dentists and 70,000 with an email address", "Sourced from compiled directories" and "Updated monthly" (MMS dentist list).
The page lists selects for "Specialty" and "Geographic", plus "Phone Number - where available" and "Email Addresses - where available". It says the list is "Available for integrated marketing including email, direct mail, and telemarketing". Prices are not shown on the pages we read.
For reach across dentists, that is a large file. The question is whether reach is what a specialist needs.
When a bought list fits
- You sell to dentists everywhere, such as supplies, software or lab work.
- You want to mail a whole region, for example to announce a new location.
- You already know which offices you want and just need addresses.
- You have staff to clean the file, work it and keep opt-outs.
Before you buy, ask the seller how often records are verified, how emails are checked and what the license lets you do. Email to dental offices still falls under CAN-SPAM, which the FTC says "makes no exception for business-to-business email" (FTC). Our referral outreach rules list what each email needs.
What a specialist needs instead
Referrals are local. Your cases come from general dentists within driving distance of your office, and the useful question is which of them send your procedures out. A specialty and geography filter gives you dentists in an area. Ranking or scoring them by how likely they are to refer is not stated on the pages we read.
What decides who you call first:
- What the office keeps in-house. An office that doesn't list implants or extractions on its website sends those cases somewhere. See how to find dentists who refer out implants.
- Who books the referral. The owner dentist decides; the office manager often makes the call. A name beats a generic inbox.
- Whether it belongs to a group. Group practices may route cases to their own specialists.
- Whether someone is new. A new associate may not have picked a specialist yet.
Leadaura builds that list for your radius. A run finds every general dentist in range, reads each office's own website for the procedures your specialty does, and ranks offices by how likely they are to refer, with the reason. See your area first
Each office in a run comes with the owner and office manager, and a checked work email and direct line when we find them, plus an opener for the first call, a map, a visit route and a CSV. The data comes from public business listings, each office's own website, the national provider registry and public professional profiles (data sources). Leadaura does not track referrals; it finds new referring offices, and the next run skips the ones you already have.
Runs are for dental specialists: oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, prosthodontists, orthodontists and oral medicine. You pay per run, from $99, with no subscription (pricing), and offices we can't deliver are refunded automatically. Preview your area free to see how many offices are in range. Questions
Is Leadaura a dentist mailing list?
No. It is a ranked list of the general dentists near you who are likely to refer, built fresh for each run, with what each office sends out and who to contact.
Can I filter the MMS dentist list by specialty and location?
Yes. The MMS dentist page lists Specialty and Geographic selects, with phone numbers and email addresses where available.
Does the MMS list show which dentists refer out implants?
Not on the pages we read in November 2026. The page describes specialty and geographic selects, not what each office keeps in-house or how likely it is to refer.
How fresh is each list?
MMS says its dentist list is updated monthly. A Leadaura run reads each office's website the day you run it, and each row shows when it was checked.
Can I email offices from either list?
Yes, for honest business email. CAN-SPAM covers business-to-business email, so include your practice's postal address and an opt-out you honor. Check the license terms of any list you buy.
How much does each cost?
MMS doesn't show prices on the pages we read. Leadaura is paid per run, from $99, with no subscription.
