For orthodontists

Referral marketing for orthodontists

Orthodontists grow by referral from general and pediatric dentists who don't offer braces or aligners themselves. Leadaura lists the dental offices in your radius, reads each website for braces, clear aligners and Invisalign, and ranks the offices that send orthodontic cases out first, with who to ask for and how to reach them.

Who refers to orthodontists

Your referrals come from general and pediatric dentists. A Leadaura run pulls every one of them inside your radius (5 to 25 miles) and skips offices you already have from earlier runs.

You choose which offices to include: general dentists, family dentists, pediatric dentists, cosmetic practices, group practices.

What we check on each office's website

Each office's own website is read for the work orthodontists take on: braces, clear aligners and orthodontic treatment. The exact watch list for this specialty:

  • braces
  • clear aligners
  • Invisalign
  • orthodontics

A page that only says the office refers to a specialist does not count as doing the work in-house. When a website can't be read, the row says so instead of guessing.

Who to call first

How a orthodontist run ranks offices
What their website showsWhere they landWhat the row says
None of the work aboveCall firstTheir website doesn't mention braces or clear aligners.
Some of the work aboveLower priorityTheir website lists braces or aligners, so they may keep orthodontics in-house.
Website could not be readUnknownWe could not read their website, so we could not tell what they keep in-house.

The ranking also rewards busier offices (five or more Google reviews in the last 90 days), offices with a newly licensed dentist or a new associate, independent practices over dental groups, and offices close to you. Each row tells you why it ranked where it did.

What each office comes with

  • The owner dentist and, when we find them, the office manager, with their role
  • A work email checked before it reaches you, and a direct line where one exists
  • The office phone, address, website, Google rating and review count
  • What they send out and what they keep in-house, from their own website
  • An opener written from what we found, for the first call or visit
  • A map of your radius and a visit route, plus a CSV for your coordinator

How to work the list

  1. Add pediatric dentists to the run

Pediatric practices see kids at the age orthodontic screening starts.

  2. Start with the call-first offices

Their websites don't list braces or clear aligners.

  3. Make the first visit easy

Free consult slots for their patients and a simple referral card for the front desk.

  4. Send progress updates

A short note at the start and end of treatment keeps the dentist in the loop.

The full playbook is in our guide to getting more referrals from general dentists.
