Referral marketing for neurologists
Neurologists grow by referral from primary care, urgent care, emergency groups and pain management, and not every practice sends patients out. Leadaura lists those practices in your radius, reads each website for who owns it and whether it already offers neurology, EEG and EMG, and ranks the independent practices that don't first, with who to ask for and how to reach them.
Runs not available yet. Leadaura is built for dental specialists, and runs for neurologists aren't available yet. The free practice count works today: enter your ZIP below to see how many practices are in range.
Who refers to neurologists
Neurology patients come from primary care and from places that see symptoms first: urgent care, emergency groups and pain management practices.
You choose which practices to include: family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, primary care clinics, urgent care, pain management. Every run starts with primary care.
What we check on each practice's website
Two checks on every practice's own website: who owns it (independent, or part of a health system), and whether it already offers the services of a neurologist. The watch list for this specialty:
- neurology
- EEG
- EMG
When a website doesn't say who owns the practice, the row says so instead of guessing. A practice that refers inside a health system isn't taken off your list; it ranks lower and the row says why.
Who to call first
| What their website shows | Where they land | What the row says |
|---|---|---|
| Independent, and none of the services above | Call first | Independent practice with no in-house neurologist service. |
| Part of a health system, or offers the services above | Lower priority | Part of a health system or offers your specialty in-house, so referrals may stay inside. |
| Website could not be read | Unknown | We could not read their website, so we could not tell who owns the practice. |
The ranking also rewards busier practices (five or more Google reviews in the last 90 days) and practices close to you. Each row tells you why it ranked where it did.
What each practice comes with
- The right contact (referral coordinator, practice manager, office manager) where we can find one
- A work email checked before it reaches you, and a direct line where one exists
- The practice's phone, address, website, Google rating and review count
- Who owns it, and which of the services above it already offers
- An opener written from what we found, for the first call or visit
- A map of your radius and a visit route, plus a CSV for your coordinator
How to work the list
- Add urgent care and pain management
They see headaches, numbness and nerve pain early and are on the neurology source list.
- Be easy to book
A direct line and short wait for a new patient is what a referring practice's front desk looks for.
- Ask for the person who handles referrals
In many practices that is a referral coordinator or the practice manager, not the physician. Each row names them when we find them.
- Make referring easy, then report back
A direct line for their front desk and a short note on every case keeps the next patient coming.
The full approach is in our guide to getting more referrals from primary care practices.
Questions
Which practices refer to neurologists?
Primary care, urgent care, emergency groups and pain management practices. Leadaura includes all of them as sources on a neurology run.
How does Leadaura tell an independent practice from one owned by a health system?
It reads each practice's own website for the owner or health system name, and marks the practice unknown when the site doesn't say. Independent practices with no in-house service rank first.
Can I run it for neurologists today?
Not yet. Leadaura is built for dental specialists, and runs for neurologists aren't available. The free practice count works today: enter your ZIP to see how many practices are in range.
